As the theme for bloggers today (or at least the posts I have read today) seem to be about grandparents. I wanted to write about my mum. She is so much more than a mum to me. Sadly she lives about 3hours away so at the moment it is impossible for me to do the distance to go and see her.
This photo is of 'glam-ma' (as she prefers to be called) and Lil H. H absolutely adores her glam-ma.
My mum isn't just my mum and glam-ma. She is my best friend, my rock, and my sounding board! As those of you who have followed my blog will know things haven't been that easy at the moment. Even though she has a lot going off her end, she has dropped everything to come and help out when she can.
When I had my miscarriage within an hour of me phoning her to tell her she jumped on a train and came down to me. I don't think she will ever know how much that helped. I wouldn't necessarily feel like going out because I was so low, but she would get me up and out of bed and take me to the beach.
It was the first time she had done the train journey to Plymouth, and having a fear of changing trains etc. I know how difficult that must have been for her, but she was there in my hour of need. We would stay up for hours talking and reminiscing about things, just as we do when she comes down now.
For a few days after she has gone home, the house always feels a little bit quiet and I can honestly say I miss not living near her especially now I have H. I appreciate her so much more now that I am a mum and understand things that I didn't when I was younger. As you would probably know if you knew how many times we had a disagreement and I got kicked out!!
My hubby always laughs when I say I'm going to ring her, he will say great I will play on my game for a few hours. I never think that we will be that long on the phone, but I think we are normally on the phone at least 2 hours a night and one night we were on the phone for 6 hours!! Good job we get free minutes!
She has kept me positive and sane these last few months when it has felt like my whole world was crashing round my ears, she would be there to listen and give advice. She truly is a fantastic woman and my shoulder. I would be lost without her.
She is also a fantastic grandma. Excited from the very beginning and there for me at every step of the pregnancy, she was very careful to give us space when we wanted it but would always be there if needed. H as you can see from the above photo adores her, and does get spoilt with love and attention from her.
Plus mum already got H's Xmas presents in January before she was even born. I remember picking up a doll thinking it was for one of her friends and said oh is that for so and so's little girl. The reply 'no its for H' 'But H will only be 9months at christmas' 'It's ok she's going to be advanced!!'
I will leave at that because I could bore you all night with how supportive my mum has been, even when she hasn't agreed with something!
As a side note, my mum hates having her photo taken so the few I have are with her and H. She says shes not photogenic but I think she is!

Memories
Isn't it funny the things that we can remember from when we were little, but ask me what I had for breakfast this morning and I wouldn't have a clue!
My mum is down this week, and as we always seem to do we sat reminiscing. God that makes me feel old! As we were talking I remembered a few things me and my brother L used to get up to. Some of these stories you may or may not find funny, it could be that you had to be there. But that's for you to decide and I thought I would share anyway.
When I was really tiny I remember me and my dad in the kitchen baking fairy cakes, I remember eating the rice paper that was supposed to go on the top of the cakes. My dad told me I had better go into the garden and see if L wanted any. I remember looking out and seeing a bee flying round his head. I realised that he was petrified of bees, and I would go rescue him.... So I picked up the baseball bat next to the door, dragging it behind me as it was very heavy for my little arms. I got to L and managed to lift it up and WHACK. I got it I killed the bee... I had also knocked my brother out, you see the bee was above L's head...
A few years on.. not many and we were at our caravan in skeg vegas! Well L had made friends with older kids on the site, and somehow, I don't remember how but condoms came up in to the subject, I being as young as I was didn't know what they were and innocently asked L... He told me they were flowers and next time me and mum were out shopping to ask for a bunch of them...
When we were a little older we got a dog called Lady, a gorgeous golden retriever. One day mum had put the heating on. Now mum was very strict on windows and doors being closed when the heating was on. She also was strict on lying... Anyway mum had walked past the front door to get to the kitchen and came in the living room to ask who had done it. Both me and L said that it wasn't us. Mum not believing this doors don't open on there own.. and not being happy about the fact that one of us was obviously lying I knew it wasn't me and wasn't going to take the wrap for this one. I hated being grounded! So anyway we are told that we are being sent to a bad boys and girls home for telling lies..
We were taken upstairs and told to pack all our socks and knickers in to a bag. We got in the car with my dad, a very solemn and quiet, crying two little children. I had already hatched a plan to run away to my grandma's! When suddenly L cries out it was me! I am shooting daggers at him, hello we nearly ended up in a home why didn't he say earlier!
The next morning my dad is making us breakfast in the kitchen when we hear the door open.. clever dog.. she had let herself in and so L was ungrounded!
Another few years on.. I was always on a mission to frighten L.. So much so that he now says he is scared for life! Anyway my favorite hiding place was behind the door in the living room. So one day he waltz's in with a cup of tea in his hand I jump out screaming BOO (god I was a horrid child haha) and he says to me I knew you were there all along so he lets out a fake scream throws his tea all over mums new carpet and shouts MUUUUMMM LOOK WHAT E MADE ME DO!! Mum comes running down finger pointing in face "Here's a news flash for you your grounded and your pocket money is confiscated for the next two months".. I never did get that pocket money back!!
The next year on from this me and L were in my room and hes laid on a pull out chair (one of those things that turns in to a single bed) and he says to me "I reckon I've got about a fiver in my money box" me "so?" "So I don't want to go school tomorrow so if you jump on my arm I will give you it." Being a child of about 8 or so this seemed like a REALLY good deal to me...
So I ran the length of the landing and bomb dived on to his arm.. He instantly screamed ran running in to our parents and grassed me up. The parents weren't happy and trotted him off to a and e. I didn't break his arm however I did strain all the ligaments in his arm wrist and shoulder! From what I remember he got the day of school, I never did get that fiver and I ended up getting grounded...
There are many more memories like this, and I will share them another day as I think I have whittled on enough for one day!

Little H aand the hospital
For those of you who don't know about a month or so ago we found out that Little H was deaf in her left ear. To start with I was completely devastated. But the more I thought about it the more I realised, she will know no different.
Also when we look at how well shes doing it would seem apparent that her right ear more than compensates for this loss. Anyway today we had an appointment with the consultant to discuss what would happen next. We had already been told that the type of loss that H has a normal hearing aide wont help. The aid that they could use is called a bone ( i think).
Basically this bone has a little box which goes underneath her bad ear and goes across her head like a head band in to her good ear. Now this leaves me and the hubby with a bit of a dilemma. Will having the bone really help? If her right ear is compensating for the left ear and doing a good job whats the point? Also having something like that on her when she starts school will only draw attention to her and make her a potential victim to bullying- we all know what kids can be like.
So we were just beginning to pick ourselves back up from all that's happened in the past few months. Me facing potential hip replacement, needing my gallbladder out. Suffering from serve psoriasis and serve psoriatic arthritis and having disc disease (along with a bulging disc) in my back, which at the moment has left me bed bound and I think understandably depressed.
However, I was dealing ok with everything and was looking forward to H's appointment to learn more about it and what it may mean for her growing up. I certainly didn't see the blow that was about to come. I sat there and listened as the consultant said we need to have a CT scan for her because of the fact it could be that her ears didn't develop properly.
If that shows up positive then it means that simple knock to her head could leave her completely deaf. Considering a few weeks ago I had said to the hubby that I would worry about her having a knock to the head for this reason I am convinced it will show positive.
It felt like someone had punched me in the chest, all the air seemed to leave my body. I couldn't say anything. I was then further upset when he said that if it was positive it could be that in labour she suffered a trauma to her head that could have caused the deafness in her left ear.
How the hell is that supposed to make me feel? I asked for a c-section which I will explain in another post and was denied it, but I never thought it. So I left the hospital in floods of tears blaming myself. I know realistically that it isn't my fault, but that is how he made me feel.
Also he asked how the pregnancy had been and I explained that I had been prescribed anti-biotics and when my spd got bad, paracetamol and codeine. The look that I got said it all. Thanks alot mate. It was a GP that prescribed me and told me it was ok to take.
So now, we have to sit and wait. We have also been told that if she doesn't sleep during the CT scan then they will have to put her under general anesthetic. I can't describe how gutted I am. I know we haven't got the results yet and she maybe just fine. But if she isn't how do I cope with the constant fear of her having a knock to the head.
Kids will be kids in the playground, and when she starts learning to walk she will fall. I have decided that if the test is positive me and the hubby will learn sign language and teach it to her, so that if the worst is to happen she can still communicate.
I feel like its a ticking time bomb, and perhaps so am I. How much crap is one person supposed to take?! I know this doesn't just affect me it affects the hubby and H. But H will know no different. And the hubby seems to take these things in his stride. I however am finding it a little more difficult.
I feel like I have to be careful when playing with her and putting her down in case something happens and she loses her hearing. Really feel lost and confused. I have stopped sobbing, and have calmed down. Its the waiting that gets me.
What he also said to us was that we would be more likely to have a deaf child than any other person as we already have one, even though it may not be genetic. Also there was a comment that we would have to be more careful. What the HELL DOES THAT MEAN?! I wish I hadn't have been feeling so low as I would love to know what he meant by that. What could I possibly do to stop that happening??
Please keep your fingers crossed that the scan comes back negative and that she manages to sleep without needing a general anesthetic.
But for now she is happy and giggling, she was even laughing at the consultant. Wish I had her frame of mind today!!

The Big Day Itself
What I didn't mention in any of yesterdays post was the actual wedding day. The night before the lads had been winding D up saying they were going to drive somewhere far away from the venue and leave him there. I tell you my blood pressure must have been rising as my cheeks got pinker and pinker A spotted the signs and realised I was getting like a volcano ready to explode. Nobody messes with the pregnant hormonal bride!! So A took me to one side and promised me faithfully that he would come back unscathed and totally sober, as at this point they were threatening to get him drunk!
You see the ceremony was at 6pm so the idea was because he hadn't had a stag doo he would have sort of a stag day, obviously without the drinking! So off they trotted to Hadrian's wall whilst me and V went up to the penthouse suite that I was staying in. I pretty much passed out as I was in the first trimester of my pregnancy and always felt drained. The boys were getting up to mischief on the way back to the hotel, as D was about to get in the car they drove off with out him. They didn't leave him there for long, but long enough for him to panic. No sooner had I woke up than the hair and make up artist had arrived.
Mum was getting all teary. As she said though, she wasn't quite sure her mascara was water proof so she had better stop.
Now the original plan was that V was going to help me in to my dress as she was the one who had practised. But because D was so paranoid about being late to the castle V was dragged off before I was dressed. The hair and make up artist told me not to worry as she was a pro at putting peoples dresses on.
No sooner was my dress on and me and my mum were about to make a toast then the phone rang. I jumped up and rushed to it. The car was downstairs filled with excitement I turned to my Mum and said come on lets go!
As we sat in the car my Mum turned to me and asked me if I was nervous. I sat back and thought about it
for a moment. I can honestly say I wasn't one bit nervous it was the one thing I had been most certain of. It wasn't something we had done lightly it was what we wanted. As far as I was and still am concerned D is my soul mate and I will love him until my last breath.
So we got the venue and the planner and registrar came out to finalise a few details. This is when she turns to me and asks me what music have I brought. At this point I'm trying not to get frustrated. No-one told me to bring a cd with music to be played otherwise I would have done. I thought they would have something to play. I was told well normally people go with the bagpipes but because you didn't want that you could have brought your own cd.
I was determined not to let anything get to me. Mum was already joking about how she was going to put me on a skateboard and push me down the aisle. The registrar jokingly told me not to panic, the groom and the rest of the party had arrived and they hadn't forgotten the rings. I can't remember much else of the conversation to be honest its all a blur now. I was just itching to get in and marry D.
So we entered in to a room which was lit purely by candles with a great big well in the middle. There were beautiful stained glass windows but it wasn't until afterwards that I took notice of the room we were in. So Mum's joke about putting me on a skateboard seemed like less of a joke as she practically ran me up to the front of the room!!
When we entered the room I expected D to turn around to look at me, but he didn't that was the only time I got nervous I began to panic, heart racing all sorts of thoughts were going through my head. Had he changed his mind? Was he going to change his mind half way through? So panicking I was glad when I got beside him and he turned to me and said, you look beautiful. He had tears in his eyes and I could see he was shaking it was then that I realised I was to.Turned out later when we were talking about it that the registrar had told him to face the wall and not turn around until I got to his side.
The registrar told us he was rather surprised we were all early it was 5.53pm but we could be begin. By 6pm we were married. It seriously was that quick. All the time I was panicking thinking I was going to mess up my vows and say something stupid like I take you to be my awful wedded husband! Thankfully we both got it right!
There was a moment when we were exchanging rings that both me and D started to giggle thinking that N had given us the wrong rings. Now had we not been in such an excited happy state we would have realised that there is no way on earth that D's ring would fit me!
So anyway as we are signing the register and the photographer says right time for photos my Mum, not so quietly, and remember theres not a lot of us in the room and its quite echoy, she says "Is that it?BLOODY HELL THAT WAS QUICK" there was a moment silence as we all turned to her and started to laugh. Talk about ice breaker!! Plus when A caught it on video as he swung the video round to capture her, shes looking round as if to say who was that!
So we go do the long torturous bit of photographs. Anyway hes got us sat on this wall and underneath it and surrounding it is a pond. As he's getting me to move along the wall.. I nearly fall in luckily D catches me in time! I don't think the photos would have looked so great, although would have been good for 250 on you've been framed or whatever its called now...
So anyway as we are stood having a group photo and waiting for the photographer to set up my mum says oh look over there isn't that so idyllic, cows grazing in the field. Now K being the wind up merchant that he is turns towards my mum and goes nah they ain't cows theys water buffalo's. Mums going your pulling my leg. Nah deadly serious. Now K is brilliant at keeping a straight face when he's having someone on. So theres a fantastic picture of all of us laughing so hard!!
The rest of the day was fantastic. Apart from the fact I had to get V to re-do my dress as the hairdresser hadn't dont it tight enough and I kept falling out and theres a few photos of me with my dress a bit to low.
Then it was time for our meal. Now we had paid extra to have a separate room to dine in. This hotel wasn't what you would call cheap and we were spending ALOT of money there. So the waitress comes and basically slaps down the menus with a face like a slapped bum. I'm not to happy about her attitude but ignore it. So anyway we all order and off she trots when my Mum and her partner spot that there was two menus and they hadn't seen the other menu and there was something that they preferred on that. So we called the waitress back and ask her if she could change the order. No she says, its being made already. Off she trots. Nearly an hour later we are still waiting on starters so getting really annoyed now. This is my big day the waitress is a bit of a cow and we are all starving it shouldn't be that difficult to keep an eye on us!
So I catch the attention of another waiter. I complain about how long we have been waiting, and how the fact we couldn't have changed the main. Also the waitress attitude. I will have a word with her and go and chase your starters up.
He didn't even apologize. He just went off and our starters appeared and to be honest they were a bit cold. Plus the meal then took another hour. Count to ten, don't scream don't shout wait till tomorrow and then make your point with a manager. So I enjoyed the rest of the evening. The speech from N was lovely. Although he didn't finish it, later on after he had left he text me to tell me it wasn't nerves he was just that emotional because he was so happy that he knew he couldn't continue without crying! Bless!
Me and D retired upstairs to our suite and sat on the balcony with a bucks fizz, someone was setting off Chinese lanterns and we had low soft music on in the background, perfect end to a perfect day.
Anyway the next day we went downstairs to find that they had messed up and added things on to our bill that we hadn't had. I then went on to complain about the night before now in tears, saying to the manager how this was now putting a downer on the day. They gave us some discount. Apparently the chap I had complained to the night before was a manager, he just never bothered introducing himself.
When we got in the car I realised we had a very big discount what the manager hadn't bothered telling us was that he'd took money off our food bill!
Three months later my mum rung to say.. I think K was wrong I don't think they were water buffalo at all.. I couldn't speak through my tears for about half an hour and when we relayed this back to everyone else they were all laughing to. Next year I'm going to get Mum a birthday card with water buffalo on the front so next time she will know what they look like.
You see the ceremony was at 6pm so the idea was because he hadn't had a stag doo he would have sort of a stag day, obviously without the drinking!

My fairy tale story..
So this post is about me and the oh and how we met. I suppose it's a cross between a fairy tale and a whirl wind romance!
It was J's birthday party and I had been begged to come by his other half H. She tried tempting me with men. Which at the time seemed like a pretty stupid thing to tempt me with because after the last disastrous relationship I had sworn off men for life, they were all the same rahrahrah.. But I couldn't resist the chance to see their two lovely little ones. So anyway I get there and there is no-one else there. H's organisational skills strike again. A little bit later theres a knock on the door. Finally someone else!
In walks the D. Automatically and shockingly I give him the once over, already J is making the short jokes at D and D is batting the jokes back. When I say jokes I don't mean jokes that you laugh at because they are funny but jokes that you laugh at because they are THAT BAD!!
Anyway we are playing trivial pursuit and J and H get in to a bit of a domestic, I'm kinda used to it but guessing D isn't so I suggest that we go to the living room and leave them 2 to it! We are sat there and he asks if I want to play chicken or dare, a matlow game. For those of you who don't know it basically it involves you putting the hand on each others knee and working your way up until someone shouts chicken.
Trust me I shouted chicken first, as we fell back on the sofa laughing we started to kiss. We stayed up all night talking as we were staying at J an H's for the night. The next day he gave me a lift home and took my number and promised to be in touch, I didn't think anymore of it.
A week or so later he came to stay with me for 3 days and then after that we saw one another pretty much every weekend, unless he was duty in which case I would try and trek to Plymouth and stay in his cabin with him.
We met in October and he always said to me after that first night that he knew I fancied him because I laughed at his jokes, my retort - it was pity laughter- they were that bad! Anyway it came to January and D had just before we met found out that he had a 2 year old son. So one night when we were at the pub we were sat outside and I said to him that I understood things must be difficult for him trying to divide his time between me, his family, his mates and his son, and I would totally understand if he wanted a break. There was no way I wanted to get any further in to the relationship to get my heartbroken, because at this point I knew I was madly in love with him!
Before I get on to the rest of that night I will just quickly explain new years eve, we went to London and basically things started to go wrong when we queued for the toilets as we knew how long the queue was we would miss the fireworks. He got huffy- so not like him, and we ended up trekking back to his parents house where we were staying! He was very quiet that night and the next day and I honestly thought things were over.
Anyway back to later in January sat outside the pub, he says no he doesn't want that, shall we call a cab and go home with a take out bottle of wine. So that's what we did. As we are sat in the back of the cab I repeat the question is he sure he doesn't want to finish. He said no I don't and I'm not going to ask you in the back of a taxi, I was clueless as to what he was on about.
So we get back to my little flat and I ask him to put the wine in the fridge whilst I go to the loo. All I can hear is CRASH BANG WALLOP. Now you have to understand my flat was my pride and joy and it sounded like it was being demolished, I go rushing towards the living room to have the door slammed shut in my face.
Now I'm not just worried anymore I'm pissed off what the blooming hell is going on here! Just a minute D shouts.. A minute I'll give him a minute. Then a muffled come in. I'm thinking come in! The cheek its my flat.
There he is on one knee a Daisy Lamp (yes you read this right a lamp) in his mouth and a flares sparkly hat ( I don't know don't ask). My hearts in my mouth is this a piss take or is he about to.. before I can finish the question in my head he removes the lamp from his mouth and says "Will you do me the greatest honour of becoming Mrs B********" instead of jumping up and down I look to the sparkly hat and at him again and I can't help it, its on the tip of my tongue... "Are you serious?" when he said yes that was it YES i screamed jumping into his arms.
Now going back to New Years Eve he finally explains his behaviour and why it had been so strange. He had been planning to pop the question then, but as things started to go wrong he was worried that I would say no and that the signs were telling him not to ask. He decided that night in January was the best night to ask because it made him realise how much he loved me and couldn't bear the thought of losing me, so he felt he had nothing to lose by asking.
Now at this time we had been together for three months so your probably thinking, long engagement. Well I will get to that in a minute. He hadn't even met my mum yet! That night we talked about moving in together in the May.
Next day my mums coming over and I am all over the place thinking how can I tell her? What will she say? How will she react? So she comes round and introductions are done, we are all sat at the table having a fag and I jump up to make the coffee grinning like the village idiot. Mum looks at me, she knows somethings going on, shes not stupid. What you laughing at? Not laughing just smiling! Oh my god your not pregnant are you? No! But that's my fiancee.
Note dropped jaws from Mum and her partner as she looks at me and then back to D. Well you two don't waste anytime. Then she starts going on about me extending my contract on the flat. I can't break this to her today I know shes struggling to take in the fact that I'm engaged so I just act all mysterious and you don't know what the future holds.
The next night after D had gone home I invite mum over for a bottle of wine, knowing shes a bit of a lightweight and thinking maybe if i get her pissed she will take the news of me moving from Swindon to Plymouth a little easier. Nope. Didn't really work. She was happy I was happy and thought that with it not happening till may it would give her a bit of time to get her head round the idea....
One weekend in March we went to have a look at some flats and fell in love with a maisonette which was dirt cheap- we would find out later why, but that's for another post! So we were asked did we want to put a deposit down or risk losing it. Stuff it put a deposit down. The move in date, the following weekend... GULP.. How am I going to break this one to mum?!
So steady breaths, dry lips, sweaty palms, heart beating fast I start describing the place to mum, and then I break the news. I don't think she knew how to respond. It was all happening so fast. The last night in Swindon we went to see mum and there were a few tears, but she said she was proud of me and glad I was so happy and she thought I was really brave to take such a big leap and start a new life.
So our life living together began most of it was spent in our own little bubble so when D got orders to go to sea it was a shock I knew no-one and was on the temp books but didn't have any work. A few days after he left I found out I had been pregnant as I was having a miscarriage, I'm not going to go in to details but it caused a bit of a stir and things got a bit weird.
So when D got back instead of planning a big wedding we decided stuff it, we are going to Gretna Green. We managed to organise our wedding in three weeks and got married in Comlongon Castle. It was so hard keeping it a secret from everyone, mum had pretty much guessed by then that we were going to run away and get married. In the end we invited her as well as my best friend at the time and her partner and D's two best mates. It was a beautiful day and the sun shone, defiantly my happy ending.
At the time of the wedding I was already about 5 weeks pregnant I had known from week 2. We had decided to try for a baby as soon as the oh had come back from deployment and we were lucky on the first try and this is my beautiful little one
so it is true that when you least expect it someone can come along and steal your heart. Me and D will have been married a year on 8th August. We have been through more than most couples go through in 20 years and we have survived it and come out stronger.
It was J's birthday party and I had been begged to come by his other half H. She tried tempting me with men. Online Shopping
Online shopping is brilliant. Especially for me at the moment. I can get what I want or need at the click of the button. It's amazing - until it goes wrong that is!
Around the time of the royal wedding I had done an online shop and ordered it to be delivered on the day of the royal wedding. I was surprised they were doing deliveries that day but figured that's why the delivery charges were a bit more expensive! We had family coming down that weekend to visit us and meet little H. So because it was coming towards the end of the month we had hardly anything and needed that shop. So on the morning of the delivery I get a phone call from the head office of the shop (I think its best I don't mention the name as I don't know the legal implications) anyway, they were phoning to say that they were unable to deliver the shopping on that day did I want to schedule delivery for another day. No I said, I have family coming down and need that shop it also has baby milk which I also need. Not to worry I was told if I was able I could send someone in to pick it up and it would be waiting at the customer service desk. So off trots the hubby to go and get the shopping. I get a phone call from him asking could I remember who I had spoken to? No I couldn't what did it matter. Long story short the shopping hadn't been done and the attitude my husband received was a case of, probably best if you delete the order and start again or just go and pick it for yourself. Your not the first person this has happened to. Now surely if that had been other customers going into pick up shopping you would have thought that common sense would have prevailed and that they would maybe think to get a list of customers and ring them to apologise and explain the situation.
So my hubby not being one for confrontation took a delivery slot for the next day and a voucher for the store and came home. Hormonal and not one to be messed with I tried ringing the store, only for someone to answer and hang up again. Unacceptable!! Long story short again, I rung head office to be told it was a special day and allowances should be made because nothing in life is guaranteed. As I pointed out to the lady on the end of the phone, it may well be a special day but as a business you prepare for that and make sure you have enough staff on and why couldn't someone just pick my shopping so we could go back in and get it. Well she tried ringing the store and couldn't get through. I asked did I have any guarantees that the shopping would be delivered the following day to receive the same there are no guarantees in life but I can ask the store to ring you.
The store never rang, the shopping turned up late, and reading for the list after being told we wouldn't be charged for delivery they had actually charged us more than the original delivery charge. So unimpressed.
I then realised after hubby had unpacked the shopping that I should pay closer attention to the size of things, the quiche that I had planned on us having for lunch was bite size. I wont be making that mistake again I told myself...
So yesterday I did the monthly shop to be delivered online and seen that some of my favorite chocolates were on special offer, who could resist that. I also saw some plastic bowls which looked fairly big like they would be good for salads and putting crisps and nibbles in when having people over...
My hubby shouts up do you want me to bring your chocolates up? Oh my mouth is watering! I can nearly taste them I can't wait to slowly work my way through them. No-one gets between a woman and her chocolate.. I can hear him chuckling to himself as hes coming up the stairs. He comes towards me and hands me the tiniest box you have ever seen. FOUR BLOOMING CHOCOLATES!!! If something seems to good to be true then it must be!!
He then comes up the stairs again and says planning ahead are we. HUH? What are you talking about and he precedes to show me the tiniest bowls ever. He said are these for H? I could so have got away with it, but I fessed up and told him no. At which point he laughs even more.
I think I may have learnt my lesson now. I am heartbroken over the chocolate. Especially seems as its still that time of the month and lets face it that's when chocolate becomes a matter of life and death! I am laughing now, because otherwise I think I would have actually cried. I'm glad my hubby was so amused. Its ok I'm sure karma will bite him in the bottom!! hahaha!!

Sleep Talking
We all have annoying habits and I have to say that one of my husbands most annoying habits is that he clicks his tongue in his sleep. Almost as if he is trying to salivate, numerous times I have woke him up and told him to have a drink, thinking that its possible that hes thirsty. It never works! Now it would seem little H is taking after her daddy, who would believe it?! All you can hear on the baby monitor is sighs and the clicking tongue.
What cracks me up the most is the *pumping* as my mother has told me to politely put it in the past. Sometimes little H is that loud that she wakes herself up. It always has me and the hubby in hysterics!
Anyway on to the title of sleep talking. My husband for some reason when he is stressed, or had one to many sleep talks, and on the odd occasion has been know to sleep walk!
One night when I was heavily pregnant (and struggling to sleep, apparently the sleepless nights start before the baby arrives) it was about 4am and I had finally managed to fall asleep. About an hour later I was being nudged so I woke up, looking daggers at the hubby through half open eyes when he says to me "life's a b***h" and proceeds to laugh incensed I jumped up and asked him what did you just wake me up to say.. At this point hes giggling and snorting and generally chatting rubbish. This is when I realise his eyes are shut and oh look at that hes snoring hes obviously asleep.
The other half's biggest habit is getting up in the middle of the night getting something to eat having a cigarette and coming back to bed, the times I have gone down in the morning to find bread crumbs all over the kitchen side! So I will shout and rant, and he honestly hasn't got a clue, he has no recollection of getting something to eat in the middle of the night.
We have had many incidents like this, and like I say the main time it happens is mainly when he is stressed or has had a few down the pub. Well as you can probably tell from the rest of my posts this year hasn't been the easiest year for us, so stress levels have been high. Well when T and P came down from Swindon T ordered the boys out of the house whilst I was laid down. When I came downstairs and was told they had left about 8 I was dreading it expecting the other half to be completely ratted. I know he needs to let his hair down especially at the moment. But seriously when I am stone cold sober in pain and have a headache, I really am not in the mood to deal with his drunkenness.
It was ok though. He came in and was a bit tipsy but not completely drunk which was a shock. So anyway we trotted off to bed. At stupid o'clock in the morning I got up to go for a wee. As I was sat on the toilet he tried to come in and use the toilet. "I'm on here" I practically shouted, he was mumbling about something and then said I will use the other bathroom. Now we have a downstairs toilet so I was expecting him to use that. Then I heard the spare bedroom door open. Jumping off the toilet and dashing in to the spare bedroom, I managed to lead him in to the toilet, but the best of it was when I first started shouting at him his response was "I'm not peeing on the blood bath mat whats wrong with that!" as i pointed out to him "your not even near the blooming toilet!!"
After he had been to the toilet he must have woke himself up and come in to the bathroom where I was hanging out the window having a cheeky fag. Head down he said to me "Its a good job T and P are staying downstairs and not in the spare room". Oh i was howling with laughter- I hadn't laughed like that for a long time. He looked at me and said don't laugh I don't deserve to laugh. Silly boy!!
Luckily we are a few weeks on from then and apart from the odd murmuring in his sleep about a skipper rolling over and it being 11.30 we haven't had any other incidents. But it still makes me chuckle, so I thought I would share it with you!!
Silly boy!!
